At the end of August my family celebrated my grandmother's 95th birthday. Oh how I love my mawmaw. I spent the first 5 years of my life with her every single day. She was my daycare! She taught me so much. How to cook the best cornbread you have ever had and still to this day everyone in my family says I cook mawmaw's cornbread(which is so good:). I love collard greens because of her. I have so many wonderful childhood memories because of her. I could cook you almost anything you wanted by the age of 3 because of her. She taught me so many things i could go on and on. Like I said she is 95 and you would think she would be in bad health. Not her! She does not take ANY medication, not a single one. She still walks by herself, with a cane, and will tell you what she thinks in a heartbeat! We had a big family dinner with her children, grandchildren, great-grands, neices, nephews, great nephews and so on. Her picture was on the front of out hometown paper! She loved that. Also a resolution was passed by all members of congress in the state of Alabama in honor of her birthday. We received the original bill signed by our senator Roger Bedford congratulating her on a such a memoriable occasion. What an honor.
I am hoping to catch everyone up on what's been going on so be on the lookout for some more posts! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
